STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
Beaches Chapel exists to see the lost come to a saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, to train and to disciple those who have been won. We plan to make a difference in our community and all the world through the preaching and modeling of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We prayerfully direct our efforts toward the fulfillment of this vision and the fulfillment of "The Great Commission." We believe the realization of our vision is dependent upon the development of a multi-faceted ministry which includes evangelism, discipleship, missions, church planting and Christian education.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

The Holy Scripture - We believe that both the Old and New Testaments are inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man. The Bible is inerrant, infallible, irrevocable, and is the complete Word of God. (II Timothy 3:16-17)

The Eternal Godhead - We believe God is Triune: Father, Son, and Holy Ghost; the three in one. (I John 5:7)

The Deity of the Lord Jesus - The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. The Scriptures declare:

His virgin birth (Matthew 1:23, Luke 1:35)
His sinless life (Hebrews 7:26, I Peter 2:22)
 His miracles (Acts 2:22, 10:38)
His substitutionary work on the cross
    (I Corinthians 15:3, II Corinthians 5:21)
His bodily resurrection from the dead
    (Matthew 28:6, Luke 24:39, I Corinthians 15:4)
His exaltation to the right hand of God
    (Acts 1:9-11, 2:33, Philippians 2:9-11)

The Fall of Man - We believe man was created in the image of God. Adam by voluntary transgression, fell and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death, which is separation from God.  (Genesis 1:26-27, 2:17, 3:6, Romans 5:12-19)

The Salvation of Man - Man's only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ the Son of God. Salvation is received through repentance toward our Lord Jesus Christ. (Luke 24:47, John 3:3, Romans 10:13-15, Ephesians 2:8, Titus 2:11, Titus 3:5-7)

The Evidence of Salvation - The inward evidence of salvation is the direct witness of the Spirit. (Romans 8:16) The outward evidence is a life of righteousness and true holiness. (Ephesians 4:24, Titus 2:12)

Water Baptism - We believe baptism by immersion in water is an outward sign of the inward work of salvation. (Matthew 3:13-17, Acts 8:36-38)

The Lord's Supper - We believe in the commemoration of the Lord's Supper by the symbolical use of the bread and juice. (I Corinthians 11:28)

The Baptism in the Holy Ghost - All believers are entitled to and should expect and earnestly seek the promise of the Father, the Baptism in the Holy Ghost. This experience is separate and distinct from the previous experience of the New Birth. The most common and immediate evidence of the baptism in the Holy Ghost is the sign of speaking in other tongues. (Acts 8:12-17, Acts 10:44-46, Acts 11:14-16)

Divine Healing - Divine healing is an integral part of the Gospel. Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the Atonement, and is the privilege of all believers. (Isaiah 53:4-5, Matthew 8:16-17, James 5:14, 16)

The Second Coming
- We believe the second coming of Christ is literal and inevitable. (I Thessalonians 4:16-17)

Church Membership - We believe it is the sacred duty of every believer to identify and actively participate with a local and visible body of Christ. (Acts 16:5, Hebrews 10:25)

Our Blessed Hope - The resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation together with those who are alive and remain until the coming of our Lord Jesus is the imminent and blessed hope of the Church. (I Thessalonians 4:16-17, Romans 8:23, Titus 2:13, I Corinthians 15:51-52)

The Final Judgment - We believe everyone will one day stand before God in final judgment, and there receive eternal reward or eternal punishment. (II Corinthians 5:10, Revelations 20:11-13)

Heaven - We believe heaven is a literal place, eternally existent. (John 14:2, Revelation 7:15-17)

Hell - We believe hell is a literal place of eternal torment for all who reject the Lord Jesus. (Revelations 20:10, 15)

Evangelism - We believe winning the lost to a saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus is the great Commission given to the Church. (James 5:20, Mark 16:15, II Corinthians 5:18-20)

Tithes and Offerings - We believe the method ordained of God to support and spread the Gospel is by the giving of tithes and free-will offerings. (Malachi 3:10, II Corinthians 9:7, Hebrews 7:8)

Worship - We believe "acceptable and true" worship is described by God Himself in His Word. Worship embodies many different forms of individual and corporate expressions of praise, thanksgiving, reverence and adoration. (John 4:24, Psalms 150)

Church Government - We believe in church government to ensure order, and we believe in loyalty to those acting in rightful authority as they lead us in the Lord. (I Peter 5:1-5, Romans 15, Ephesians 4:11-13)

Acceptance Within the Body of Christ -  We believe in acceptance and support of all who believe in the deity and redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ. (I John 4:7, Romans 12:18, Romans 15:7)
