STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Beaches Chapel School is an accredited member of the Florida League of Christian Schools (FLOCS), and the Association of Christian Teachers and Schools (ACTS) and is under the authority and spiritual leadership of Beaches Chapel Church. We are also members of Christian Schools of Duval County, along with 11 other area Christian schools. The school was founded in 1974 as a full-Gospel, non-denominational school. It was born out of a desire to supplement church foundations and family life with educational principles. Its purpose is to be a part of the ministry of the Church and to serve as an evangelistic example to the community. The Beaches Chapel student can successfully move toward a goal in life both academically and spiritually. The school is "open to all students with no restrictions on race, creed, color, or national origin." The school emphasizes "basics" and has adopted the ABeka Curriculum with other supplemental curriculum materials.

AN EXTENSION OF THE CHRISTIAN HOME

According to the Scriptures, the primary responsibility for the educational training of children belongs to the family. The school must only be an extension of the Christian home and never a replacement for it. Our school exists to aid parents in fulfilling their responsibility under God to give their children Godly training in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. The faculty and staff of Beaches Chapel School pledge ourselves to academic and spiritual excellence in a Christ-centered atmosphere where we seek to manifest the spiritual fruits of love, joy and peace. It is our prayer and purpose to do all things to the honor and glory of the Lord Jesus.
